83.04% of students clear SSC or equivalent exams in 2024
A total of 2,024,192 students appeared for the SSC and equivalent examinations under the 11 education boards.
In the eleven general education boards, the pass rate is 82.91%. The pass rate for female students is slightly higher at 2.90%. The female student pass rate is 84.47%, while male students have a pass rate of 81.57%.
The overall pass rates in the nine education boards are 83.92% in Dhaka 83.9%, in Rajshahi 89.3%, in Chattogram 82.8%, in Barishal 89.1%, in Cumilla 79.2, in Dinajpur 78.4%, in Jashore 92.3%, in Sylhet 73.4%, in Mymensingh 85.0%, in Madrasha 79.7% and in Technical 78.9%.
SSC and equivalent exam results for 2024 in Bangladesh:
Pass Rate: This year, the overall pass rate for SSC and equivalent exams is 80.39%. Last year, it was 87.44%.
Total Candidates: A total of 20,72,163 candidates appeared for the exams, out of which 20,96,546 passed.
Top Scorers:
Impressively - 1,83,578 students achieved a GPA of 5 this year.
Education Boards: The results were simultaneously published for all education boards, including Dhaka, Comilla, Chittagong, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Jessore, Barisal, Sylhet, and Mymensingh, as well as the Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board and the Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB).
Result Announcement: On May 12, 2024, at 10 a.m., the results were officially declared. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led the announcement virtually from Bangabhaban, Dhaka. Education Minister Dipu Moni and the Deputy Education Minister were also part of the event.
How to Check Results:
Online: Visit the Education Board Results website (link) and enter your roll and registration numbers to view your results.
SMS: Send an SMS to 16222 with the following format: SSC <space> Board Name <space> Roll <space> Year. For example, if you’re from the Dhaka board and your roll number is 123456, send: SSC DHA 123456 2024.
